Davy and Natalie Lloyd, the young missionary couple who were serving in Haiti when they were killed by Haitian gangs on Thursday, had a heart for the people of Haiti and “reached countless lives in so many ways,” according to Missouri Republican state Rep. Ben Baker, who is Natalie’s father.
Davy, Natalie, and Jude Montis, the local director of Missions in Haiti Inc., were ambushed by a gang while they were leaving a youth church activity in northern Port-au-Prince. The three missionaries took cover in a house but the gang found them and started shooting at the house, Davy’s sister Hannah Cornett told the Associated Press. Missions in Haiti, Inc. posted on Facebook that “Davy was taken to the house tied up and beat” before a different gang showed up and appeared to exchange gunfire.
