Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on ABC’s “The View” on Thursday, where he joined the ladies at the table in attacking former President Donald Trump — and had a few choice words for his own detractors as well.
Fauci, who previously served as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID), gained household-name status when he became the face of the White House’s fight to contain the COVID-19 pandemic — first under Trump and then under President Joe Biden — before he retired from government service.
He joined the hosts of “The View” to talk about a new book, and revealed a phrase he had learned while studying Latin that stuck with him when people where attacking him — a phrase he translated with a laugh as, “don’t let the bastards wear you down.”
