It’s taken a while, but actor Alec Baldwin is finally on trial this week for involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Halyna Hutchins on the movie set Rust.
Earlier in the week, we reported on some of the motions that were decided in the matter including the judge’s decision that Baldwin being a co-producer wasn’t relevant to the case. That was a big win for Baldwin in the case since that could go to further knowledge of safety issues on the set.

But during the trial on Thursday, there was a truly wild moment from Baldwin. The prosecutor was reading some embarrassing things he said to a detective in the court and talking about his motivation to lie.
