Republican VP Candidates Told They Were Not Selected: Reports

At least one Republican who was a finalist for President Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick has been informed that he was not chosen for the spot.

Multiple publications have reported that Trump, who is expected to officially announce his pick at 4:30 p.m. EST, has informed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) that he was not selected.

Fox News reported that North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum was also informed that he was not Trump’s pick. However, CNN subsequently reported that Burgum had not been informed that he was not chosen.

Other candidates believed to be in the running for vice president include Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC).
