Former Trump White House aide Peter Navarro walked on the stage at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday — hours after being released from federal prison — to thunderous applause and chants of “fight.”
Navarro, 75, was imprisoned for four months after being convicted of contempt of Congress charges. He was sentenced after he did not show up for a deposition with the Democrat-run January 6 committee and did not provide them with certain documents, citing the doctrine of executive privilege.
