Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said during an interview this week that Vice President Kamala Harris did “all the right things” regarding her rise in the political world.
Waters made the remarks during an interview with MSNBC host Joy Reid. They discussed Harris’ new presidential campaign, which launched on Sunday after President Joe Biden announced that he was quitting his re-election bid.
“It is going to be tough. They’re gonna accuse her, they’re gonna call her names, they’re gonna do all kinds of things. But you know, she is not going to be intimidated,” Waters said. “She’s smart, she’s tough, she knows how it all works now. She’s worked at the White House, she’s the Vice President of the United States, and she’s smarter than Trump. And so, if they come after her, she’s gonna get them.”
