On Wednesday, PolitiFact beclowned itself as it claimed it is “mostly-false” for Republicans to say Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed “border czar.” However, that was not all. Also on Wednesday, PolitiFact tried to attack the party for condemning Democrats for not knowing what a woman is and other “LGBTQ+ talking points” from the Republican National Convention.
The first claim that LGBTQ issues writer Grace Abels tried to discredit was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s claim that “[Democrats] promised normalcy and gave us Transgender Visibility Day on Easter Sunday.”
Abels labeled that “misleading” because it was just a coincidence that the two happened to fall on the same day, but that does not explain why President Joe Biden felt the need to issue a proclamation acknowledging it.
