House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said on Sunday that President Joe Biden is intentionally withholding weapons shipments from Israel so that he can have leverage over the country.
McCaul made the remarks during an appearance on CBS News’s “Face The Nation” while talking about Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to the U.S. last week.
“What have you been told about his request to have more shipments of weapons delivered on a fast-track basis?” the show’s guest host asked.
“I sign off on all foreign military sales,” McCaul said. “And I sign off on all the ones that have gone to Israel and also to Ukraine and Taiwan. And so the fact is, though, that these shipments have been delayed intentionally.
