An Al Jazeera reporter who was killed in an airstrike this week was allegedly a terrorist who participated in Hamas‘ October 7 massacre last year.
Ismail Al-Ghoul and his cameraman were killed in an airstrike while in a car in the al Shati refugee camp in northern Gaza, according to CNN.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Israel Securities Authority (ISA) said in a statement that in a joint operation, the Israel Air Force (IAF) “eliminated Ismail al-Ghoul, a Hamas Military Wing operative and Nukhba terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre.”
“As part of his role in the military wing, Al-Ghoul instructed other operatives on how to record operations and was actively involved in recording and publicizing attacks against IDF troops,” the statement said. “His activities in the field were a vital part of Hamas’ military activity.
