The Harris campaign has finally responded to the stolen valor scandal engulfing Tim Walz. In a very lacking statement delivered to NBC News, an unnamed “spokesperson” claimed that Walz “misspoke” when he claimed to have carried weapons “in war” during a rant against the Second Amendment.

That statement is simply not good enough. For one, any apology on this subject should come directly from Walz, not some anonymous staffer. The snark and dismissal of how serious the issue is also insults those who have served. Walz has repeatedly claimed…
