It seemed like a routine political ad: you’ve got the dramatic narrator, the chyrons, the intense music. In this case, it also came with a dose of unintended humor because Kamala Harris talking about how tough she is on the border is like MSNBC telling us that Joe Biden is sharp as a tack.
But it also included a shot of Tulare County, California Sheriff Mike Boudreaux, and it turns out he’s no fan of the vice president. In fact, he issued a statement calling her attempts to portray herself as something she’s not “pathetic”:
“As Attorney General, Kamala Harris undercut efforts by California law enforcement officials to stop criminals from flooding our state with guns and drugs across the border,” the statement read.
“She repeatedly defunded and shuttered task forces designed to protect our residents, leaving the Valley and our state vulnerable,” the statement continued….
