The United States has been defending Europe in one way or another since 1917. We kicked the Nazis in the butt, held off the Soviet Union, have stationed troops on the continent for 3/4 of a century, and have spent trillions over the years making and keeping them free.
In return, the United Kingdom and the European Union are threatening to strip Americans of our most basic Constitutional rights.
Screw them.
Both the UK and Australia–another ally and a member of the very exclusive “5 eyes” intelligence sharing collective–have mused about jailing American citizen Elon Musk for allowing free speech on Twitter/X. The European Union, which is close as anything to being the political arm of the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance, actually threatened Twitter/X for allowing Elon Musk to have a conversation with Donald Trump and invite him back onto his platform.
