The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched widespread strikes against Hezbollah terrorist positions in southern Lebanon during the early morning hours on Sunday after receiving intelligence that Hezbollah was about to launch a large scale attack on Israel.
Axios reported that the strike was launched after Israeli and U.S. intelligence officials obtained intelligence indicating that Hezbollah’s attack was imminent. Israel coordinated with the U.S. in advance of the strike.
