“Real Time” host and comedian Bill Maher can be especially confounding, because at times he seems to “get it,” while at others he spouts nonsense—like when he argues that California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been a solid leader.
By “it,” I mean that he’s one of the rare liberals who consistently calls out the Democrats and the media, which are essentially the same thing, for their hypocrisy, gaslighting, and outright lying, all of which sadly have become regular occurrences in modern times.
On Friday night, however, he didn’t hold back and he told it like it is: namely that CNN is a shameless hack of a news network and is so obviously in the tank for the progressive that it’s physically painful to watch. Maher mocked the network’s coverage of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ lackluster but far-left speech at the DNC Thursday night:
