Hollywood star Jenna Ortega said she thinks women have made great strides in Hollywood, but said she has no interest in seeing a “Jamie Bond.”
During an interview with MTV about her upcoming movie “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the 21-year-old actress said she doesn’t think women should simply be swapped into movie roles previously given to men and said that actresses should have their own franchises.
“I love that there’s a lot more female leads nowadays, I think that’s so special, but we should have our own,” Ortega told the reporter. “I don’t like it when it’s like a spinoff — I don’t want to see, like, ‘Jamie Bond.’ You know? I want to see another bada**.”
