After weeks of insisting on rule changes for the upcoming presidential debate, Kamala Harris finally surrendered on Wednesday. The original rules proposed to both candidates by ABC News will stand, including the muted mic setup first demanded by Joe Biden.
The Harris campaign released a letter announcing the decision to back down. It’s her incessant crying in defeat that’s most interesting, though. This sure sounds like someone who doesn’t expect to do well and is setting up a litany of excuses.
In their letter to ABC News, Harris campaign wrote in part:
“Vice President Harris, a former prosecutor, will be fundamentally disadvantaged by this format, which will serve to shield Donald Trump from direct exchanges with the Vice President.”
