If you’ve been following the news, you’ve probably seen reports of Haitian migrants eating pets and park animals, including geese, in Springfield, OH. How accurate are those claims? The answer to that isn’t entirely clear.
Some residents have testified at a city council meeting that they’ve seen the migrants killing ducks and geese. With that said, a viral video of a woman eating a cat was not actually of a migrant or in Springfield, and the local police say they’ve received no calls.

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. A picture of a migrant carrying a dead goose has been publicized and seems to corroborate some of the claims along with the testimonies mentioned above. Are cats being eaten? I don’t have that answer, and I’ll leave others to speculate at this point.
