It’s Trump’s fault that leftists keep taking shots at him.
That is the line that Democrats are pushing out this morning. It’s almost–almost, I say–as if they wish that one of these nutcases had succeeded.
I would never suggest that this is the case, of course because it requires mind reading. Except that it doesn’t for many on the left. When leftists promote actual violence and even murder to eliminate their political opponents, perhaps we should believe them.

What was striking to me about the reaction to the second assassin–aside from the immediate attempt to downplay it–was the immediate return to anti-Trump rhetoric. At least after Trump was actually SHOT IN THE HEAD and somebody was murdered, leftists dropped the rhetoric for a few days.
