Senate Incumbent Scott Leads Democratic Rival in Florida Race

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—Florida Sen. Rick Scott, a Republican, is leading his Democratic opponent in a new poll.

Napolitan News Service surveyed 774 likely voters in Florida between Sept. 25 and 27 as to whether they preferred Scott or his reelection challenger, former Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.

If the election for U.S. Senate were held today, 48% of Floridians polled said they would vote for Scott, while 43% expressed support for the Democrat, Mucarsel-Powell.

Half of leaners said they would vote for Scott, while only 44% preferred Mucarsel-Powell.

Democrats currently hold a narrow majority in the Senate, so every race matters for determining the balance of power heading into 2025 and the 119th Congress.
