After January 6th, then-Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) hitched her political fortunes to opposing former President Donald Trump. Then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) saw that as an opportunity to give the Democrats and their coming J6 committee a facade of legitimacy. Pelosi wasn’t looking for a new friend; she wanted a useful stooge. Sure, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) cried his way through the committee, and he made up the other part of the committee cabal, but Liz Cheney was the co-chair. She had had the gavel. She led the charge. Was it based on love of country? “Patriotism over party”? I submit that it is just the opposite: Out of hatred for one man — Donald Trump — Cheney has picked a party with a radical leftist, Vice President Kamala Harris, as its nominee and is actively campaigning for Harris because she hates that one man.
