Political commentators and media members reacted on social media on Friday to news that MSNBC host Tiffany Cross was dropped by the network.
Megyn Kelly, Clay Travis, Roland Martin and many others reacted to headlines like Mediate’s, which read “MSNBC Abruptly Severs Ties With Tiffany Cross.”
Kelly previously called Cross “the most racist person on television” after Cross said, “To see all these black men crashing into each other with a bunch of white owners, white coaches, and the complete disregard for black bodies and black life,” in response to Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion. Kelly and many others were quick to point out that Tagovailoa is not black and his coach is not white.
Fox News Tucker Carlson had a recent segment highlighting some of the things Cross has said, including instances in which she labeled white people dangerous and called out “white women who have been radicalized.” Numerous other examples of Cross’ comments have been reported by The Daily Wire.
“Literally no one will miss her,” the host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” podcast tweeted to her 2.6 million followers in response to the news.

Kelly later discussed Cross’ ouster on her podcast with guest Dana Loesch.
“I have good news … Tiffany Cross, the most racist person in all of television, and in particular on MSNBC, just got fired. Poor Tiffany … Joy oh joy, Tiffany Cross is gone!” the former Fox News host said.
Loesch added, “I had to really think hard and remember who she was …”
“MSNBC fired the TV host who said the reason Tua wasn’t protected by the NFL was because he was a black quarterback with a white coach,” OutKick’s Clay Travis tweeted. “She went 0-2, Tua isn’t black and his coach isn’t white. She’s now unemployed.”

“MSNBC Abruptly Severs Ties With Tiffany Cross, one of the left-wing outlet’s most racist hosts,” Mollie Hemingway tweeted.

This was thought to be the “last straw” that got Tiffany Cross fired from MSNBC- she calls Florida, “the dick of the country”. Hours later she was let go. pic.twitter.com/JqEXTw7LxU

Tiffany Cross, who is probably responsible for the deaths of untold numbers of black men, reportedly “did not adhere to MSNBC’s standards.” First, lol at MSNBC having “standards,” but oh well. Glad she’s gone. It will save black lives. https://t.co/3je9j8ADNW

Arguably the most racist host on the network this side of Joy Reid. Once referred to Sen. Tim Scott as a “token” and “clown.” The list of outright racist comments by her and certain guests are too many to list here. She’s out at MSNBC. “Standards” cited. https://t.co/CpAJjUYS7F

However, not everyone was pleased with the news. Actress Yvette Nicole Brown tweeted, “This. @RJonesNews fired the host with the highest ratings for the weekend. Dumb. Calculated. Personal. #SkinFolk.”

And former CNN contributor Roland Martin tweeted that there needs to be an explanation.
“This no comment from @MSNBC on the decision to not renew @TiffanyDCross and @CrossConnection is grossly insufficient. Network president @RJonesNews, the first Black network news president in history, owes the fans of the weekend’s highest-rated show an explanation. It’s NONSENSE.”

I’m outraged by the news that @MSNBC is ending @TiffanyDCross’ brilliant show #CrossConnection. It’s the highest-rated weekend show. Tiffany’s departure looks even funnier in the light because it comes after she rightly criticized white supremacist poster boy Tucker Carlson.

She isn’t controversial she is Black and willing to stand up for herself when Tucker Carlson attacked her. https://t.co/fk4L1rAdlv
