I am loath to explain my jokes but some of my readers don’t always get them right away. Damn it, they’re funny!
“This is a Wendy’s” started in 2008. Like Fonzie jumping the shark, its genesis comes from a TV comedy series. Specifically, “The Office.” It now means that when someone goes on a stupid rant or doesn’t understand the context and is just an idiot or is shouting at clouds, the reply is, “I’m sorry, this is a Wendy’s.” It is a “shut up, you’re drunk” reply.
