The Biden-Harris administration threatened X owner Elon Musk with criminal prosecution for helping to drive voter turnout in the upcoming election by offering $1 million rewards to registered voters who sign a petition to support the U.S. Constitution.
Musk’s America PAC states that one winner is being chosen daily in one of the seven swing states if they sign the PAC’s petition pledging their support for the First and Second Amendments.
In order to be eligible for the prize, those who sign up have to prove that they are registered to vote in one of those states.
The New York Times reported that the letter from the Biden-Harris Department of Justice warned that the giveaway “might violate federal laws against paying voters.”
