LISTEN: Tim Pool’s New Song Hits Number One On iTunes, Heaps Sarcastic Praise on Taylor Lorenz, Chris Cuomo

Podcaster Tim Pool released a brutal new song on Friday that heaps a whole lot of sarcastic praise on people like ousted CNN host Chris Cuomo and Washington Post columnist Taylor Lorenz as it goes to number one on iTunes

Pool and Trash House Records released a song, called “GENOCIDE (Losing My Mind),” his third single and second musical collaboration with former Offspring drummer Pete Parada, according to a press release obtained by The Daily Wire.

“Journalists today provide an invaluable service to humanity and protect Democracy from fascists and anti-vaxxers,” Pool said sarcastically, noting that his new song “pays tribute to the brave journalistic practices” while his video takes swipes at Lorenz, Cuomo, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, CNN’s Jake Tapper, Fox News’ Sean Hannity, and CNN host Don Lemon.

Throughout the music video, Pool uses headlines about everything from the pandemic lockdowns to inflation in order to mock the press’ reports that harmful things are actually good.

Some of these hilarious examples include messages that read, “Lockdowns are for your own good,” “Big Pharma has your back,” “$8 gas is a small price to pay for a clean conscience,” “Five ways nuclear war benefits you,” and “Fiery but mostly peaceful drone strike.”

At the conclusion of the video, a “reporter” seemingly appearing in a foreign country is actually just standing in front of a green screen — another obvious dig at the corporate media.

“Our goal was to highlight just how important the national media is in rallying support for foreign intervention and safety lockdowns,” Pool joked. “If it wasn’t for these great heroes of national media, we would have never liberated Iraq and Afghanistan and untold millions could have died without support for strict lockdowns.”

“Libya today is a shining example of the great work our national media does to ensure peace and prosperity around the world,” he added sarcastically. “If the fascists had their way, people would have visited their loved ones as they were dying in hospitals making the pandemic much, much worse.”

At the time of this publication, the video has been seen 141,000 times and counting.
