Though the stories of Laken Riley‘s February 22nd murder and the dueling border visits from Joe Biden and Donald Trump understandably dominated the news cycles over the last couple of weeks, there was much action going on in the Florida state legislature that deserves its fair share of attention as well – albeit for much different reasons.
There were two instances specifically, one of which involved Rep. Berny Jacques, a Republican who represents House District 59, and the other which involved Republican Rep. Toby Overdorf, who represents the Sunshine State’s 85th District.
