The iconic 90s TV show “Baywatch” is getting a reboot that promises to be a more “action-packed” version of the original series — led by David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson — which ran from the late 80s and into the 90s.
The beach crime-drama from Freemantle has landed at Fox with Lara Olsen picked to serve as the showrunner on the script+penalty deal for the new version of the series that ran for a decade, Variety reported.
“Daring ocean rescues, pristine beaches, and iconic red bathing suits are back, along with a whole new generation of Baywatch lifeguards, who navigate complicated, messy personal lives in this action-packed reboot that demonstrates there’s the family you’re born into and the family you find,” a description about the upcoming reboot read.
