A fan who stormed onto the field at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Monday night has filed a police report for assault after he was leveled by a Los Angeles Rams player who assisted security officials in apprehending the individual.
The Associated Press reported that the fan went to the Santa Clara Police Department after the game to file charges after he was flattened by Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner. A source close to the activist told Fox News that he was considering taking legal action against the players that were involved in stopping him and against the NFL.
Santa Clara Police Department Lt. Cuong Phan confirmed to multiple publications that this was an ongoing investigation and because of that, information on the case was going to be limited for the time being.
The suspect was waving a device that emitted pink smoke while he ran onto the field. A second suspect, a woman, also attempted to run onto the field during the game but she was unsuccessful as she was immediately stopped by security.
The suspect ran from one side of the field to the other side while he was being chased by a security guard. As the suspect turned toward the end zone, two Rams players, including Wagner, came off their sideline to assist in stopping the suspect.
Wagner is seen on video absolutely demolishing the suspect as security officials then quickly moved in to take control of the situation.

“We all know where Bobby’s intentions were, and I support Bobby Wagner,” Rams head coach Sean McKay told reporters on Wednesday. “That’s where I’m at with that. I don’t think anybody would disagree.”
Wagner said that he could not focus on the matter anymore because it was behind him.
“It’s behind me,” he said. “Can’t really focus on it. I’m more concerned about the security guard that was hurt trying to chase him and the people that was … we don’t know what that is and you just gotta do what you gotta do.”You just never know,” he continued. “You never know, like, people run on the field for no reason sometimes and again, I’m pretty sure it’s gonna keep happening, but you never know what that person got in they pocket, in they hands, whatever. Kind of like what I said after the game so, you know, there’s consequences for your actions.”
