Despite a prolonged and unintentionally hilarious attempt by Senate Democrats to hold off a confirmation vote for Russ Vought to head the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), President Trump eventually got his man. The final vote, held Thursday evening, came down along party lines, with 53 Republicans voting “aye” and 47 Democrats voting “nay.”
The vote came after Democrats, who really have no idea what to do or how to act in America’s Golden Age, put on a 30-hour airing of their grievances on the Senate floor. It all kicked off Wednesday afternoon after cloture was invoked, again along party lines, and debate over Vought’s nomination was limited to 30 hours.
