An American who endured the past two years being held in captivity by the Taliban has now shared his first comments after the Trump administration secured his release from Afghanistan.
This comes after the news broke on Thursday that George Glezmann was heading back to the U.S., as my colleague, Bob Hoge wrote:
The Taliban has held American George Glezmann hostage for nearly two years. The Trump administration, which only took over in January, brought good news to the prisoner Thursday as they negotiated his release: he is now on his way back to the U.S.
