No one seemed to be sure what to expect from last night’s debate, particularly given Kamala Harris’ lack of any clear policy statements combined with Donald Trump’s recent struggles to stay on message and avoid name-calling or comments on Kamala’s race, etc. But at least for those supporting the former president, one opportune topic was highly anticipated. It seemed inevitable that the moderators would have to ask the candidates about their positions on the topic of domestic energy production and the dangerous game we have been playing with the country’s increasingly fragile power grid.
