NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said on Friday that investigators have “reason to believe” the person of interest sought in the assassination of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has left New York City, CNN reported.
Police are still trying to piece together evidence and surveillance images after the assassin gunned down Thompson as the millionaire executive was on his way to a company conference on Wednesday morning. So far, authorities have not identified the suspect.
On Thursday, the NYPD released a photo of a person in the lobby of a Manhattan hostel, wearing what appeared to be a green hooded jacket.
