Did you ever think you would see the day when Michael Avenatti would be talking to the Trump legal team and offering to testify in support of Donald Trump?
Avenatti has been doing just that from Terminal Island, a minimum-security federal prison in Los Angeles. He is serving a 19-year sentence for extortion, tax evasion, fraud, embezzlement, and other federal crimes. He said that Trump’s defense team contacted him.
“I’d be more than happy to testify, I don’t know that I will be called to testify, but I have been in touch with Trump’s defense for the better part of the year,” Avenatti said.
Avenatti is the former attorney for Stormy Daniels, a porn actress paid by Donald Trump to remain silent about their alleged affair. The trial now described as Trump’s hush money trial begins today in Manhattan.
