Looking around at the state of the nation these days, it might be easy to conclude that the Biden presidency hasn’t been working out very well for almost anyone. But it could wind up being very beneficial to former Baltimore State’s Attorney and convicted perjurer and fraudster Marilyn Mosby. She showed up on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show last night and put forward a public plea to Biden to issue her a pardon ahead of her May 23 sentencing date. She insisted that she has done “absolutely nothing wrong” and is the victim of plots concocted by her conservative critics. Two juries saw the matter differently. So will Joe Biden bite on this dangling bit of bait? Would his handlers really want to see him be dragged into this local mud fight? (Baltimore Sun)
