Longtime “Today” show host Al Roker shared an incredible update with fans following his multiple hospitalizations last year for a series of blood clots — and he admitted it’s “been a long road” to recovery.
The 69-year-old weatherman shared a screenshot on Wednesday on his Instagram showing the progress he’s made in just a year, going from only being able to take a little over 5,000 steps in a day to now well over 10,000 steps consecutively for the last two months.
“A year ago, I was struggling after getting home from the hospital,” Roker captioned his post on social media. “This week marks 60 days in a row of 10k+ steps a day.”
‘(It’s) been a long road with a lot of folks helping me along the way,’ TODAY’s weatherman says as he reflects on his past year’s health. https://t.co/0thKbQAwqx
