Since his inauguration in 2021, Joe Biden and his administration have been trying to bully Guatemalan president Alejandro Giammattei – who’s a conservative – into running his country the way Biden and his cronies want. As an example, the administration did not like the actions that Guatemala’s Attorney General Maria Consuelo Porras was taking against institutional corruption, and when it came time for Porras to be reappointed Giammattei “received calls, threats and a visit from the ambassador of a ‘foreign power’ asking him not to re-appoint Porras” – and that foreign power was the United States. Giammattei did anyway, and the State Department refused to allow her to enter the United States for the Summit of the Americas, claiming that she was “involved in significant corruption.” (Sound familiar?)
