The Biden White House said on Sunday that they are “intensely” pressuring Israel to lower the intensity of their military operations against the Hamas terrorist organization inside Gaza.
The Sunday remarks from John Kirby, Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, to Margaret Brennan on CBS News’ “Face The Nation” came 100 days after Hamas’ unprecedented terror attack when more than 1,200 Israelis were murdered.
“We have been talking to them intensely about a transition to low intensity operations. We believe it’s the right time for that transition, and we’re talking about doing that,” he said. “Now, they have done some precursory steps to try to kind of get to that point.
