Actor Robert De Niro railed against former president Donald Trump and his supporters during a Biden campaign event outside a New York courthouse on Tuesday.
After largely ignoring Trump’s ongoing hush-money trial in New York, President Joe Biden’s campaign held an event outside the courthouse as the trial is set to go to closing arguments. The Biden campaign invited De Niro, a vocal critic of the former president, to speak. De Niro denounced Trump and claimed the American system of government is at stake in the 2024 election.
