More nuggets continued to drop this weekend from President Joe Biden’s rare interview with Robert Costa on the CBS News “Sunday Morning” show. To his credit, Costa finally got around to asking Biden about the role played by Nancy Pelosi and other top Democrats in shoving him out the door. Biden appeared to continue to insist that it was all his idea in the end, but he did let Pelosi’s name slip out at one point. Biden appeared to try to claim that he felt all of the chatter from his fellow Democrats about his sinking poll numbers would have been a “distraction” from his campaign. He also came close to acknowledging that he would have been a drag on all of the down-ballot races and could have cost them the majority in both chambers of Congress. In some ways, this was possibly the most honest conversation we’ve seen from Biden throughout his entire time in office. (NY Post)
