President Joe Biden complained about the media reporting “bad news” while he spoke to reporters during his final Thanksgiving as commander in chief.
Biden made the comment while in Nantucket, Massachusetts, after being asked to share his message to Americans who are worried about the future this holiday season. Though he insisted reporters have a “really tough job” and claimed that he was not criticizing them, Biden indicated that polls showing most Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction could be pinned on the press.
“You turn on the television you don’t see a lot of good news. Even if something is good news it doesn’t seem to to sell very well. If you turn on TV everything looks bad. Exceedingly small number of people watching mainstream television & reading newspapers”
