I’m not sure who it was in the Democratic Party who sold them on the idea that Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz was going to be a great choice to reach out to voters in the middle.
Between his radical positions and continually putting his foot in his mouth, he violated the one basic rule about a vice presidential candidate: Don’t hurt the ticket. If they intended for him to help out Kamala Harris, who was already a bad candidate, picking him made things even worse because he didn’t know how to deal normally and truthfully with the public either.
