Singer Billy Joel has postponed several tour dates after undergoing surgery for an undisclosed “medical condition.”
The 75-year-old recording artist will not be putting on eight scheduled shows between now and July. The next time Joel takes the stage will be at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5, as Variety reported.
The “Piano Man” singer did not disclose details of the medical concern other than to say his “health must come first.”
“Billy Joel’s upcoming concert dates will be rescheduled due to a medical condition,” the statement began. “The current tour will be postponed for four months to allow him to recover from recent surgery and to undergo physical therapy under the supervision of his doctors.”
