Juneteenth has come and gone, with the media tripping over itself to highlight the various commemorations. But one group without quite as much to celebrate is the remnants of the Black Lives Matter movement. The “official” organization representing BLM has seen its revenue stream drop by nearly 90% as compared to two years earlier. On top of that, according to the most recent polling from Pew, public support for BLM has dropped to the lowest levels recorded since the group’s founding. To their credit, there is still a majority of people willing to say they “support” BLM, but just barely. 51% of respondents claimed to support the group, down from 67% during the BLM riots during the summer of 2020. 46% said they “oppose” BLM.
