According to reports, Brad Pitt is in for the “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood” sequel heading to Netflix.
David Fincher is rumored to be directing the project, which was written by Quentin Tarantino, according to The Playlist. Pitt will be reprising his role as Cliff Booth in the as-yet-unnamed follow-up to the 2019 comedy-drama. The actor took home a Best Supporting Actor award for the role that year.
Fincher and Pitt have worked together on some major projects in the past, including “Seven” (1995), “Fight Club” (1999), and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (2008).
The outlet noted that Tarantino negotiated a deal that turned over ownership of the film copyright from Sony Pictures to him after a set number of years. This announcement has led to speculation that this has since transpired as the sequel is now associated with Fincher’s first-look deal with Netflix.
