As we reported earlier, Mexico bent the knee and caved to President Donald Trump’s tariff threats. They agreed to send 10,000 National Guard soldiers to the border to help interdict illegal aliens and drugs from coming across into our country. In return, the U.S. agreed to put off tariffs for a month as they continued to work out the deal.
It was a good sign that Trump’s tactics had been successful, and the question then was what might happen given a similar situation with Canada? I reported on how Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was trying to play tough with retaliatory tariffs on Sunday but got smacked down by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
