Radio host Charlamagne tha God said New York officials should just throw out their case against President-elect Donald Trump because he won the election.
During his radio show “The Breakfast Club” on Tuesday, the host talked about New York Justice Juan Merchan’s upcoming decision on the Trump hush money case, and said the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg should just end the case against the president-elect, after Bragg asked Merchan to postpone it until 2029.
“New York City, just throw the whole thing away, alright? Cut it out. Who are we fooling?” the radio host said. “Who are we fooling?”
“Nothing’s going to happen to Trump, and nobody wants that retribution that he may deliver hanging over their head,” he added. “Just — he won the election. It is what it is. Cut ties, sever your losses, throw the whole case away. Come on. Who are we fooling, y’all?…
