With a March 14 deadline looming, we knew a continuing resolution (CR) to temporarily fund the government through September was in the offing. On Saturday, House Republicans released the text of the proposed measure — a 99-page stopgap bill, described as a “pretty damn clean bill” even by those who aren’t noted Trump supporters.

As our Becca Lower noted in her write-up on the CR, President Donald Trump swiftly threw his support behind the measure, asking for Americans “to give us a few months to get us through to September so we can continue to put the Country’s ‘financial house’ in order.”
