On April 16th, four teenagers stole a Hyundai in Chicago. Reports of a car being stolen in Chi-Town would normally constitute nothing more than another day ending in a “Y.” But during the boys’ efforts to flee with the vehicle, they smashed into a pickup truck owned by Annelisse Rivera who was traveling with three of her children. The high-speed crash destroyed both vehicles. Rivera and her seven and fifteen-year-old daughters were seriously injured. Her six-month-old baby son Cristian Uvidia died in the hospital from damage to his skull a short while later. Compounding this tragedy is the fact that as of now, only two of the teens have been charged and they were only hit with a misdemeanor charge of criminal trespassing. (NY Post)Read More
