I’ve said before that between the Mahmoud Khalil and Kilmar Abrego Garcia cases, Democrats seem hellbent on getting trounced in historic fashion in the 2026 midterm elections, as evidenced by the dangerous political games being played and dramatic stunts being pulled on behalf of both of them.
Though Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) isn’t up for reelection until 2028, the theatrics he has engaged in regarding Abrego Garcia potentially could have the net effect of hurting his Congressional colleagues next year.
Images of him rushing to El Salvador in a rescue attempt and having margaritas with the MS-13 gang member the same week the late Rachel Morin’s mother, Patty, tearfully pleaded with the MSM to tell the truth about Van Hollen’s stunts and her daughter’s tragic case will undoubtedly appear in campaign ads, as they should.
