On NBC’s Meet the Press, anchor Chuck Todd brought on disgraced Wyoming Congresswoman and pseudo Republican Liz Cheney to whine about Arizona Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake and her supposed “threats to democracy.” Predictably joining in on the smear campaign, Todd asked Cheney if Republicans like Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin who are campaigning for Lake are “putting party over country.”
Todd started off by touting to Cheney that Youngkin was asked by NBC’s senior capitol hill correspondent Garrett Haake about Cheney’s complaints that Republicans are campaigning for Lake who according to Cheney is an “election denier.”
Todd then aired Youngkin’s response:
GOVERNOR GLENN YOUNGKIN: I believe that every state deserves a Republican Governor, and Arizona deserves another Republican Governor.
“A lot of Republicans in the last three weeks that I would describe as empathetic to what you’ve been doing, have suddenly found themselves deciding, hey party over country,” Todd bemoaned before asking Cheney “what do you make of those decisions?”
“I think they’re really indefensible decisions,” Cheney whined. “I think Governor Youngkin has done a good job as Governor of Virginia, but nobody should be out advocating for the election of people who will not honor the sanctity of our election process,” she added. “People who do that are in fact putting politics ahead of the constitution and ahead of the country.”

LIZ CHENEY: You know, I think they’re really indefensible decisions. You know, I said I think Governor Youngkin has done a good job as Governor of Virginia, but nobody should be out advocating for the election of people who will not honor the sanctity of our election process. And you know people who do that are in fact putting politics ahead of the constitution and ahead of the country.
