‘C’mon People, Let’s Wake Up!’: Debbie Wasserman Schultz Revs Up Apathetic Biden Crowd

Not great, Bob!

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) had to put in a little extra showtime magic to rev up a Florida crowd for President Joe Biden on Tuesday. For some reason, Biden is using his political capital to campaign in a state where statewide Republican candidates are expected to trounce their Democratic opponents. Wasserman Schultz, a loyal footsoldier of the Democratic Party, mustered all she could to get Sunshine State voters excited for the 46th president.

“Do you want to improve people’s lives?” she said while being met with silence. “I bet some people in here want to improve some people’s lives. Are you with me?”

The audience was a bit sleepy and finally snapped to it after Wasserman Schultz reiterated.

“Okay,” she said, before getting a bit more stern. “C’mon people, let’s wake up! We got the President of the United States in the house! C’mon now! … Just wanted to make sure you’re still here.”

Rather than sound like a woman introducing the President of the United States, the Florida representative sounded more like a middle school principal trying to amp up a group of 6th-graders for an anti-drug presentation.

Once “Sleepy Joe” finally took the stage, his performance wasn’t much better.

He claimed that Wasserman Schultz was a senator and that his son, Beau, died in Iraq. Neither statement is true.

“I don’t have a greater friend in the United States Senate, and I don’t have a greater friend when I was vice president, or as president,” he said. “So Debbie, thank you, kiddo.”

Wasserman Schultz has never been in the U.S. Senate.

Then, while making a point about inflation, Biden repeated his oft-said lie that his oldest son passed away while serving overseas. Beau passed away from brain cancer six years after his deployment to Iraq ended. There is no evidence his illness was related to his time in the military anyway.

“Inflation is a worldwide problem right now because of a war in Iraq … sorry, the war in Ukraine,” Biden said. “Thinking of Iraq because that’s where my son died — because he died. But the point is that’s why it’s up.”

At this point, readers might be wondering why Biden is even in Florida in the first place.

Well, according to sources close to the lapdog media, Biden is in the red state because he believes that it presents him the best opportunity to paint a stark contrast between what the Democrats have to offer and what “extreme MAGA Republicans” want for the country.

“You can’t shake a stick (in Florida) without hitting a Republican that represents the MAGA extremes that the president is talking about,” a senior Biden adviser told CNN. “So, it allows the president to really drive home what’s at stake and what the choice is.”

Florida Republicans offer a government that doesn’t lock down its people, bans mask mandates, protects children from radical gender ideology, stands for parental rights, attracts millions of new residents, fights against illegal immigration, is fiscally responsible, and isn’t afraid to take on corporations harming society.

Biden’s party offers the opposite of that.

It’s an interesting strategy to highlight that difference, to say the least.
